IX International Symposium on Irrigation of Horticultural Crops
June 17 @ 08:00 - June 20 @ 17:00 CEST
Today the competition for scarce water resources in many places at global level is intense. Available water resources are constantly diminishing at increasing rates. Adaptation of agriculture to varying conditions induced by climate change is necessary because some changes in climate can no longer be prevented.
The International Society for Horticultural Science(ISHS) and the DiCEM/ University of Basilicata are organizing the IX International Symposium on Irrigation of Horticultural Crops, that will be held in Matera (Italy) from 17 to 20 June 2019.
During the four days of the congress, scientists from Europe, USA, Asia and Africa will review current research trends on the irrigation of horticultural plants, will present new discoveries and make plans for future research and special projects.
The symposium will connect scientists and technicians in order to transfer the more advanced and focused solutions regarding the irrigation sector.
The preliminary programme will be published shortly; it will include invited lectures, oral and poster presentations, a technical visit and a social event.
